Is there a Silk Sonic tour? The honest answer

The truth: Silk Sonic has never toured, and no tour is announced. The duo’s only live run was the 2022 Vegas residency. But here’s the workaround: Bruno Mars’s Romantic Tour (Aug–Dec 2026) has Anderson .Paak opening every night, then joining Bruno for a full Silk Sonic set. You can hear Silk Sonic live—just not under their name.

Why there is no Silk Sonic tour

Silk Sonic is a one-album project. Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak created An Evening with Silk Sonic (Nov 12, 2021) and supported it with a single Vegas residency: An Evening With Silk Sonic at Dolby Live, Park MGM, Feb 25–Aug 19, 2022. Around 170,000 people attended over ~34 shows. That was it. The two have made no announcement of a tour, no second album, no plans to reunite on the road as a duo.

In 2022, they won four Grammys for "Leave the Door Open" (Record, Song, R&B Song, R&B Performance). Then both stepped back. Bruno focused on his solo career. Anderson .Paak denied a breakup—he said in interviews: "Silk Sonic always has a place to put out more music"—but made it clear it was a hiatus, not a permanent split. No second Silk Sonic album has been announced in four years.

The 2026 workaround: Romantic Tour reunion

Bruno Mars announced the Romantic Tour for 2026, a 70+ stadium show run. On his rider: Anderson .Paak is the official opener, performing as DJ Pee .Wee for about 25 minutes. But that’s not the magic part. Mid-set, Bruno brings him back out, and together they play 5–6 Silk Sonic songs—typically Blast Off, 777, Fly As Me, Smoking Out the Window, Leave the Door Open, and on some nights Die With a Smile (with the crowd singing the Gaga part). Full production, horns, velvet suits, the works. It’s a Silk Sonic set, just not branded as a tour.

The North American leg runs Aug 21–Dec 8, 2026, with stops in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Tampa, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, and Mexico City. If you want to see Bruno and .Paak perform Silk Sonic songs live in 2026, this is the only place to do it.

Could a real Silk Sonic tour ever happen?

Theoretically yes, but there is no sign of it. Anderson .Paak has kept the door open publicly ("Silk Sonic always has a place"), and Bruno has said in recent interviews he'd love to work with .Paak again. But wanting to work together and booking a tour are different things. If a real Silk Sonic tour were announced, it would go through their labels (Aftermath/Atlantic and Aftermath/Pandara) and would come with major press. We haven’t seen any hint of that.

The Vegas residency story

In early 2022, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak took their album on the road in the only way they ever would: a residency at Dolby Live, Park MGM in Las Vegas. The show was a time machine to 70s soul revues—two sharp dressers, a six-piece band, horns, the whole romantic vibe. It sold out night after night. See the full Vegas story.

Why no tour?

Silk Sonic was always positioned as a side project. Bruno’s main career is his solo touring; Anderson .Paak has his own albums and projects. A Silk Sonic tour would require both men to pause everything and spend 6+ months on the road together. Neither has made that commitment. The Vegas residency was the compromise: a run that could happen in one place without pulling them away from their main careers.

What the Romantic Tour reunion means for Silk Sonic fans

The Romantic Tour is significant for a specific reason: it’s the first time Bruno and .Paak have shared a stage since August 2022. For four years, they existed in separate professional worlds. .Paak released solo work; Bruno toured Doo-Wops & Hooligans and prepped for this run. Now, for a window of five months (Aug 21–Dec 8, 2026 North America, then Japan in January 2027), they’re working together again every night. If you’re a Silk Sonic fan, this is the story: the duo is not dead, and you can witness that reality live.

The setlist: how much Silk Sonic are you getting?

Every Romantic Tour show runs 2.5 to 3 hours. Anderson .Paak opens for about 25 minutes as DJ Pee .Wee. Then Bruno takes the stage for roughly 2 hours of his own catalog. Mid-set—typically 30 minutes in—.Paak returns for 5–6 Silk Sonic songs: Blast Off, 777, Fly As Me, Smoking Out the Window, Leave the Door Open, and on select nights Die With a Smile (the Gaga collaboration). That segment runs about 20–25 minutes. So out of a roughly 2.5-hour show, you’re getting about 45 minutes total of the Silk Sonic reunion (opener + mid-set segment).

Is it worth it if you only care about Silk Sonic?

That depends on you. If you live for Bruno Mars and his solo catalog—Doo-Wops & Hooligans, 24K Magic, his massive hits—then yes, the Romantic Tour is a full event. But if Silk Sonic is your only draw, you’re paying full ticket price (~$175–$300 at face value, more on resale) for a 20–25-minute segment. Is 45 minutes of Silk Sonic (opener + mid-set) worth that? Only you can answer. Some fans say yes—it’s the only way to hear these songs live. Others wait or skip it. The brief is: be honest about what you’re paying for and what you’re getting.

Reading between the lines: why silence?

After winning four Grammys and selling out Vegas, most artists would capitalize. They’d announce a world tour, rush-produce album two, strike while momentum is hot. Silk Sonic didn’t. Instead, both went quiet—intentionally. The Grammy withdrawal (Oct 2022) was the clearest signal: even at peak success, they chose to step back. That silence can mean a few things: (1) they’re taking time to write something special; (2) the project was always meant to be one album, one residency, one moment; (3) logistics (tour would require both men to stop everything) didn’t align. Anderson .Paak’s public statements ("Silk Sonic always has a place") suggest it’s not a breakup—just a wait. But four years is a long wait. The industry standard is 18–24 months between albums. At this point, patience feels less like anticipation and more like settling into reality: there may be no album two.

What to expect if a real tour or album ever drops

If Silk Sonic does announce a tour or album, here’s what would happen: Major news outlets would cover it within hours. Billboard, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, The FADER—all would run stories. The artists’ labels (Aftermath/Atlantic and Aftermath/Pandora) would issue official statements. Ticketmaster would list dates. Social media would explode. You wouldn’t need to hunt for a presale code or watch YouTube—it would be inescapable news. If you see rumors online now (2026), they don’t mean anything. Wait for official announcements.
